Kids TV - Hamas style

The youngest of my children loves Mickey Mouse, especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. A peaceful, fun, and educational show that has been key in his early development of being able to count, recognise colours etc. Their adventures are innocent and even the rogue (Pete) is a chirpy, harmless character.

Sadly, it would seem, children in the Middle East are privy to a less entertaining broadcast - "Hamas Children TV Bunny 'Assud' replaces 'Martyred' Brother 'Nahoul the Bee', vows to Liberate Al-Aqsa, 'Eat Jews'.

I like Assud's entrance:
"Assud: "I come from the diaspora, bearing the Key of Return. This is the Key of Return. Do you see it? Allah willing, we will use this key to liberate our Al-Aqsa Mosque. Here is a picture of the noble Al-Aqsa Mosque. Here it is, can you see it? Allah willing, we are the soldiers of the Pioneers of Tomorrow."

....and after a bit more talk of the 'pioneers of tomorrow' comes this epihany:

"I, Assud, Will Get Rid of the Jews, Allah Willing, and I Will Eat Them Up"

See the clip for yourself - I can only hope the low budget production appearance of the show is indicative of the low viewing figures.

It would seem that martyrdom is a common theme in the show - I particularly like the character 'Farfour' who looks surprisingly like Mickey Mouse. Unfortunately though, he was killed by an Israeli soldier last year for not handing over the 'land papers'.

What chance do the children have?

This tactic is straight out of the Nazi handbook. Hitler Youth anyone?

Hitler Youth was an ideological extension of Nazism in that the future of Nazi Germany at the time was in the hands of the children. In the same way Hitler wanted his chidren indoctrinated in anti-semitism, the Palesinians want their children indoctrinated in....oh wait a minute....anti-semitism.

But I thought the Jews were the new Nazis?
